Qÿhtvehb Dub Chåb was founded durring the early 13th century in summer of the year 1230, by Dyëkdsm. The establishment of Qÿhtvehb Dub Chåb was somewhat plagued by a lack of willing colonists, leading to Dyëkdsm electing to pay people to resettle in Qÿhtvehb Dub Chåb.

Qÿhtvehb Dub Chåb was built using the conventions of Undermountain durring the early 13th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Qÿhtvehb Dub Chåb is no diffrent. The city's buildings feature timber and earth construction, with most buildigns first floors resembling mounds of earth, with subsequent floors appearing as elaborate log cabins, with each building forming a tiered pyramid of sorts fromed from the stack of rectangular, peek roofed cabins. Most wooden bracing, support, and trim is carved with decorative knotwork, and the larger structures even feature painted trim which emphasises the knotwork.

Qÿhtvehb Dub Chåb is buildings are arranged arround a single premissive cobblestone mainstreet with many smaller streets branching off of it which gives the city a over all rectangular shape, albit one warped and twisted by the nature of the curves of the main road. The city has a set of well fortified walls, with gatehouses, watch towers, battlments, and even a moat, which are fashioned from stone and timber. Qÿhtvehb Dub Chåb's walls are, howeaver, fashioned from stone and timber. While unorthadox, the design looks to be functional to a reasonable degree. With luck, the untested design will remain untested for years to come. The city's unusual though effective defenses are visibly old, but also obviously maintained semi-regularly. Its likly the local malishia or garrison are tasked with ocasional mantance of the citys defences.

A look around Qÿhtvehb Dub Chåb gives you an uneasy feeling. Everything is just a little too worn down, a little too dirty, or both. No one makes eye contact. Kids play quietly, but happily. Occasionally a passerby glances at you out of the corner of their eye, staring jsut long enough for it to be uncomfortable. Beneath this surface, the people of Qÿhtvehb Dub Chåb can be overheard having academic discussions, as well as talking about scholarly subjects in general. It’s quite clear Qÿhtvehb Dub Chåb places a lot of value on education and being a learned individual.

Cultural Notes

Qÿhtvehb Dub Chåb's garrison was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is best known for its functional shapes, abstract shapes used sparingly for decor, simple color schemes, holistic design, and basic industrial materials. Its simple designs were created to be beautiful, functional, and mass-producible. The style used little to no embellishment or ornamentation, instead drawing attention to the streamlined design, such as flat roofs to create a simple, geometric look. The simplicity masks the style's nearly sinister functionality, as every last feature is designed to guide the people living in the building in how to make the most efficient use of the structure.
